The Apartment of Irony is a web comic by Jimmy Cuadra. It's the story of two roommates living in La Jolla, California, attending UCSD, and getting into many absurd and hilarious hijinks.
The characters are based on the authors and most of the strips are taken from real conversations. The humor is random, and if you're annoyed that jokes go over your head at first, read some of the back catalog and you'll get an idea of the comic's style and continuity (or lack thereof.) Then you will be more annoyed when they continue to go over your head. |
The comic is created through APCE, a tool written by Jimmy in PHP and MySQL that creates comics dynamically with HTML layers from a template, a large database of graphical components, and CSS information. Comic strips are created and edited through an intuitive web-based interface.
